The natural resorces of the town and the commune facilitate developent of foot processing, light industry, estate bulding, ecological agriculture and tourism. The town has some attractive, fully equipped terrain for estate building as for industrial, storage or service building. The good transport infrastructure can only add to its attractiveness. We guarantee pure water, natural gas, electric power, collection of sewage and waste and offer preferential tax rates and organisational aid to all potential investors. The main advantages of Sycow are its location, good technical infrastructure, natural resources and labour power. The achieve the best development of the region, the local authorities give priority to the following investments: building of a storage reservoir at Stradomia Wierzchnia; building of sport center. CULTURE AND TOURISM There are many things worth seeing in the area. At Sycow itself: historical buildings in there centre of the town dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, one of the houses the Regional Museum; St. Peter and Paul's Parish Church built in the second half of the 15th century. Originally a Gothic church it was rebuilt in 1908. At present, its a Neo-Gothic building with Baroque towers; south of the market place there is the evangelical church of St. Peter and John built in the years 1785-89 in a classical style, designed by Charles Gotthard Langhans who was a designer the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, too. Close to the church there are two insteresting series of sculptures. The first one, four sculptures cast in bronze symbolises the rivers in France. They were made in the Paris workshop of Val d'Osnet and come from the castl destroyed in 1945. The second, consisting of stone figures, is the allegory of the four seasons of the year. The area close to the church links with old castle.

What makes Sycow commune a very attractive area for investors is its location. It is situated in the east part of Dolnoslaskie province, and belongs to Olesnica District. International route no 8 leading from Wroclaw to Warsaw passes across the commune area and in the immediate vicinity of Sycow. Wroclaw, the capital of Lower Silesia is just 56 km away. Sycow is a small town on lowlands. Height above sea level: 215m. 10,000 inhabitants live in the town, others in neighbouring villages. It is a typically agricultural district. Business activities conducted in the district are environment-friendly and include food industry, carpentry and services. The existing forests cover 30% of the area and are regarded as very good for various recreational activities.

- According to the Sycow Municipal Council’s Resolution no XXIV/158/04 dated June 24, 2004:
Whole buildings and structures or their parts used for business activities by entrepreneurs conducting business activities in the Sycow Commune area are exempt from property tax.
Tax relief applies only to buildings and structures on which constructing, rebuilding, renovation or modernization expenditures can be substantiated on the day of the submission of the application in the amount:
- not lower than the equivalent of 50,000 Euro up to 100,000 Euro - for the period of 3 years
- above the equivalent of 100,000 Euro - for the period of 4 years
- for the period of 2 years - if at least 5 jobs are created,
- for the period of 3 years - if at least 10 jobs are created,
- for the period of 4 years - if at least 20 jobs are created,
- for the period of 5 years - if at least 25 jobs are created.

Accessibility The ground is located next to the route no 449 which is directly linked with the Wroclaw – Warsaw route no 8 and the route to Opole. Sycow is conveniently situated: The Wroclaw – Wielun rail road is at a short distance, and the Wroclaw – Warsaw route no 8 bypasses the town from the south. In the nearest future dual carriageway S-8 from Wroclaw to Warsaw via Olesnica, Sycow, Sieradz, Lask and Lodz is to be built.
– Appropriate consistency soil, underground water level below 2 m. – It is possible to connect to the town’s local sewage system and the town’s local sewage treatment plant in Komorowska Street in Sycow. – There is possibility to supply gas to the area via pipeline from the local gas distribution board located in Kaliska Street. In the immediate neighbourhood of the area (within 300 m distance) medium pressure gas distribution board is located. – Supplied by the commune’s water board. Ř 100 water supply pipeline runs through the ground. – Electrical medium-voltage line runs across the ground.

Sycow Commune has ‘The Town and the Commune’s Development Strategy’ and Long-term Investment Plan. 14% of the commune’s income was spent on investments in 2004. At present the commune’s authorities are preparing to meet requirements connected with implementation of quality management system. This is to be done in conformity with the ISO 9001:2000 standard.
Local authorities are willing to cooperate with entrepreneurs interested in undertaking investments in the area of the commune. The local Council’s Investment and Technical Infrastructure Department will provide professional support, thus shortening the time needed for completing all the necessary legal procedures connected with the undertaken investment.
